Patient Participation Group

What is the Digital PPG?

The Digital Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients who work in partnership with the GP practice to help shape and improve the services we provide. By joining the Digital PPG, you can share your views, ideas, and experiences to support positive change for the benefit of the wider patient community.

The Digital PPG operates mainly online, making it an easy and flexible way to be involved without needing to attend the practice in person.

What does being part of the Digital PPG involve?

Members of the Digital PPG are asked to:

  • Take part in occasional online surveys or consultations
  • Share feedback on proposed changes, services, or patient information
  • Contribute ideas to help improve access, communication, and patient experience
  • Commit to ongoing involvement, responding to messages or updates when possible

From time to time, virtual meetings may be arranged, and members are encouraged to participate where they are able.

What the Digital PPG is not?

The Digital PPG is not a forum for discussing individual medical issues, personal concerns, or complaints. Any personal or clinical matters should be directed to the practice through the appropriate channels.

Instead, the Digital PPG focuses on:

  • General patient experience
  • Practice development and service improvement
  • Helping the practice understand patient needs as a whole

Why join?

By joining the Digital PPG, you can play an active role in helping your GP practice develop and improve, ensuring patient voices are heard and considered in future planning.

Who can join?

We aim to gather patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from all ethnic groups.

Join our Digital Patient Participation Group

All registered patients are able to join our Patient Participation Group. People of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and those with health conditions and disabilities are encouraged to join. Members should as far as possible, be representative of the surgery population.
