Welcome to Marshalls Cross Medical Centre
This practice is provided by Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Our aim is to make sure our patients are well informed and cared for to the highest possible standard.
Marshalls Cross Medical Centre helps to treat common minor illnesses and long-term conditions, as well as helping patients to prevent any future ill health through advice, immunisation and screening appointments. The team takes a holistic approach, dealing with a broad range of physical, mental and emotional problems. Depending on the need of a particular health problem, patients may be referred by the practice to the hospital or a specialist.
We work as a multidisciplinary team; the core of our highly skilled team being our General Practitioners (GP) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP), who are supported by Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCA) Patient Care Advisors (PCA), Senior PCAs, a Primary Care Business Manager and our Practice Manager.
We also work closely with colleagues outside the practice as well as the Primary Care Network, these include Clinical Pharmacists, District Nurses, Community Matrons, First Contact Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners and Social Services.
The practice will occasionally offer training places for GPs and other health care providers and we will continue to include our patients in research, audit and the Friends and Family Test (FFT). This means you may on occasion be asked to complete questionnaires, if you choose not to participate this will not prejudice your care in any way.
Parking is free for patients attending the surgery for an appointment. Car park tickets are validated at reception.
